The Adoption Process

The adoption process is easy. Once you find the cat you can't live without, follow these steps:

1.
Understand the Responsibility

Adopting a cat should be a well-thought out decision. Cats are meant to spend their entire lives with you. They are family members and are not disposable. They need to be fed and cared for every single day. Don't adopt an animal unless you are committed to the long-term care for that animal.

2.
Make Appointment To Meet

Everyone working with  shelter, rescue and foster cats is very friendly and loves meeting and talking with prospective adopters, like you. Call or text 239-595-0623 or 941-266-7084 to make an appointment or write to us here and we'll arrange a meeting. Take note of the dog's ID and/or name.

3.
Meet Your New Best Friend

Come meet your new cat in Franklin, NC. Meeting your forever friend and companion is fun. Complete the basic required paperwork, pay the adoption fee and leave with your cat.

4.
Get Pet Supplies at Local Pet Store

Pick up some pet supplies from your local pet store.

    - a place to sleep

    - feeding bowls for food and water

    - food

    - fun toys

Don't Forget....

Remember, these cats have been living at a Macon County shelter, rescue or with a foster family for days, weeks or months, so they need time with you at your house to calm down and settle in. Cats can be timid when meeting new people but deep inside they want to be with you.
