The Macon County, North Carolina Volunteers Make A Difference
(in the lives of shelter and rescue dogs and cats)
We are a group of dedicated, animal-loving volunteers who walk dogs rain or shine to help bring some pleasure and excitement into their lives until they find their forever homes. Our purpose is to promote health, wellness and adoption of shelter animals.
To make their lives better while they wait for a new home, we use our own funds and donations to provide extra food, treats, toys and extraordinary vet care when needed. Some of our volunteers have sponsored a spay or neuter to make the adoption process easier. There is not a financial obligation of the volunteers but everything helps.
We always welcome new volunteers. If you'd like to volunteer to walk and spend time with the dogs and cats, please get in touch. We'd love to introduce you to the animals and have you help out. No formal commitment required.

Dogs and cats are a lifetime commitment. Not your entire life, but theirs. They are fully 100% dependent on the decency of humans for their survival. Don't let them down.

The volunteers and staff care for the dogs and cats day in and day out. We feed them, bathe them, clean their kennels, walk them outside and play with them. If you'd like to join us, say hello and we'll coordinate.
